Short version

We collect as little data as possible. Our calculators work entirely in your browser — no data is sent to our servers when you calculate stamp duty or use any tool. If you subscribe to our email list, we store your email address to send you updates. That's it.

Who we are

Mei Says is a property data and calculator tool for Singapore. We are not a real estate agency. We do not sell property or broker transactions.

What we collect

Calculator usage

All calculations run client-side in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the values you enter into our calculators.

Email subscription

If you voluntarily subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address. This is stored securely with our email provider (Brevo, formerly Sendinblue) and used solely to send you property data updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and how tools are used. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics.

What we don't collect

  • Your name, phone number, or NRIC
  • Your property purchase details
  • Your financial information (income, CPF balance, etc.)
  • Any data from third-party login or social accounts

How we use your data

  • Email address: to send you property data updates you subscribed to
  • Analytics data: to improve our tools and content

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data storage and security

Email addresses are stored with Brevo (EU-based, GDPR-compliant). Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.

Your rights (PDPA)

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data we hold
  • Correct any inaccuracies
  • Withdraw consent (unsubscribe from emails)
  • Request deletion of your data

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. We may use essential cookies required for the site to function (e.g., remembering your calculator settings). These are first-party only and contain no personal data.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll notify email subscribers.
